New Speaker Announcement: Daniel Burka

You may have noticed we have a little message on the home page stating that more speakers will be added to the lineup in coming weeks. Today we’re happy to announce the first of many.

Daniel Burka — lately of Digg and Pownce fame, previously a founder of Prince Edward Island-based silverorange — will be at WDN to deliver a personal look at user interface design with case studies coming from the projects he’s worked on. This is an “in-the-trenches” talk from someone responsible for high profile work that’s seen by millions monthly, an environment where UI choices can be crucial for success. From the strategic choices made early on in the design process that made life easier, to mistakes that caused re-thinking of major design components, no holds will be barred.

We’re all glad to have Daniel on board. Stay tuned, there are more announcements on the way.
